Hi, I am Leonardo Viola

I have been an osteopath for over 40 years at my practice in the heart of Leichhardt. During this time I have seen osteopathy evolve with the use of new approaches and advanced techniques without sacrificing the old principles of Osteopathic foundation.
I take a very individualised approached and having studied a variety of techniques over the years allows me to implement whatever strategy is best suited to my patient at the time. I am constantly studying new techniques in osteopathy and acupuncture and find my passion for healing gets stronger with age.
Qualifications:
– Dip of Osteopathy (1979), Graduate Dip of musculoskeletal management (1996)
– Master of Applied Science, Musculoskeletal management (1998)
– Diploma of Acupuncture, (1991)
– Master of Herbal Medicine, (2005)
– Registered Member of AHPRA- Osteopathy and Chinese Medicine
Ongoing care outside your appointment is always prescribed to have the most benefit from your treatment. This includes specific exercises to facilitate healing and to Improve overall body function and the prescription of herbal medicine and dietary management if necessary.
Techniques used during your appointment may include:

- Electric Massage
- Acupuncture including Japanese acupuncture
- Cupping
- Articular mobilisation of joints
- Positional release therapy
- Massage to decrease pain and improve blood circulation to the area affected
